The tree-lined streets and beautiful, historic architecture in downtown McMinnville are nothing short of charming.   3. One of our favorite McMinnville wineries is R. Stuart & Co. Tasting Room and Wine Bar. They have a location pretty close to our Bed and Breakfast, in addition to one on Third Street. 
  4. Brittan Vineyards, just around the corner from R. Stuart & Co. in the historic Granary District, is another excellent choice among McMinnville wineries, especially if you want to try some of Oregon’s famed Chardonnay. 
  5. When the weather is nice, it’s hard to beat the outdoor patio at Chris James Cellars McMinnville Tasting Room.
  6. You’ve perhaps heard of Elk Cove Vineyards, but odds are you haven’t heard of their sister winery—yet. Pike Road Wines sources its grapes from many of the top vineyards in the Valley, and the resulting wines are delicious and affordable. 
  7. Many of Oregon’s vineyards emphasize sustainable growing methodologies, including biodynamic farming. To taste the difference biodynamically farmed grapes can make in your glass, head to Troon Biodynamic Wine Bar by Troon Vineyard
  8. Another great place to sample certified biodynamic wines is Maysara Winery, just 15 minutes West of downtown McMinnville.

  2. Head into the Dundee Hills and get a fantastic taste of French Burgundy-style wines right here in Oregon. Domaine Drouhin has a sensational range of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and more. 
  3. In the Chehalem Mountains, you’ll find another signature spot among staple Willamette Valley Wineries: Adelsheim Vineyard. Their wines are often rated as some of the best in the world. 
  4. Stoller Estate is another gem in Oregon’s Dundee Hills Region. It is a leader in sustainably produced wine. 
  5. If you visit its sister winery in downtown McMinnville, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a tasting at Elk Cove Vineyards. It was the first winery in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and is an excellent representation of that region’s terroir. 
  6. Exquisite wines, stunning views, and fantastic food and wine pairings await at Fairsing Vineyard, which is easily one of our favorite Willamette Valley wineries.
  7. Lavinea Winery is a fantastic example of the benefit of single-vineyard wines, and has long been one of our favorite Willamette Valley wineries. 
  8. For a fantastic taste of biodynamically produced wines, head to Soter Vineyards. They are yet another fantastic producer of sparkling wines, and their library is complex and delicious. 
  9. Speaking of sparkling wines in Oregon, don’t miss a visit to ROCO winery. This fantastic winery highlights the depth of Oregon wines. 
  10. Finally, round out your trip to Willamette Valley wineries with a trip to the Carlton Winemakers Studio, a wine coop with sixteen different Vintners.
