- Downtown McMinnville Farmers Market every Thursday from 12:00pm-6:00pm May through October. This weekly event hosts more than 60 local vendors bringing fresh seasonal produce, farm-raised meats, fresh blooms, and handmade products to market. Taste the jams made from Oregon’s stellar fruits and berries. Grab lunch in the food court, enjoy rotating musicians creating a fun atmosphere and stock your kitchen with fresh local foods. One booth hosts different winery, brewery or distillery each week. There are also weekly youth activities for your kids. - Concerts on the Plaza offer summer’s hottest downtown entertainment every Thursday from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm mid-July through August. Located on Davis Street between Third and Fourth Streets you will find the block closed for food trucks, beer, cider and wine booths, dancing, and seats for hanging out. Bands cover a variety of genres of music and eras. - UFO Fest–thousands of visitors along with some galactic beings invade McMinnville to attend the famous three-day McMenamins UFO Festival. Second in popularity only to the UFO festival in Roswell, New Mexico, Oregon’s annual cosmic celebration features a UFO parade, expert speakers, live (free!) music indoors and out, a 5K run, a pet costume contest, events with the featured speakers, a ‘landing party’ with vendor booths and more.
Founded in 1999, this UFO Festival began at the historic McMenamins Hotel Oregon property to honor the famous 1950 Trent sighting in the area and has evolved into an epic celebration of all things extraterrestrial.
